Name: Street, Lenora Waller (b. 1907)

Historical Note: Lenora Alma Waller Street (b. 1907) moved from Haynesville, Louisiana to Shreveport, Louisiana with her parents, Aylmer L. Waller (1882-1946) and Ethel Shaw Waller (b. 1887), and brother, Leslie R. Waller, in 1920. She graduated from Shreveport High School in 1923 and attended Centenary College of Louisiana from the fall of 1923 to the spring of 1925. While at Centenary, she was a member of the Kappa Pi sorority, Pi Kappa Delta (Honorary Forensic Society), Centenary Woman’s Athletic Association, debate team, newspaper staff, and yearbook staff. After leaving Centenary, she graduated from the University of Colorado with an A.B. Degree. On May 8, 1928, she married John Ralph Street. The Streets relocated to Los Angeles, California.
