Historical Note: Saint James United Methodist Church (Hahnville, La.) traces its history to 1862 on the Fashion Plantation operated by Civil War general Richard Taylor. The church relocated to Hahnville in 1875. A hurricane destroyed the building in 1965, and it was rebuilt at the same location. The church was discontinued in 2011.
